Room and condition - 1/10. My room had a very temperamental air con that didn’t manage to cool the room down as much as it should.
The bed is dreadful! If you value comfort, a soft(ish) bed that you can get a good nights sleep in then good luck. You won’t find it here. My back is in a lot of pain from the 5 night stay at this hotel. Let’s all cross our hands and feet and hope my masseuse can fix this. There is a small fridge in the room but it is not self catering by any means. No kettle. No mugs/coffee or tea. The room looked nothing like the pictures used on Expedia, I had a bright white and lime green room, genuinely dreadful to wake up to every morning. The street is SO LOUD! Every night you will hear loud bikes passing the hotel and sounds like there in the bedroom with you. The horse rides up and down the street and the screeching of the chairs on the floor above or next room over. Honestly sickening.
Food - I can’t comment on because I didn’t try it, but the options in the surrounding area are not great, although there is plenty of restaurants many of them were full to the brim at the time you would like to eat and you will be waiting in the boiling sun. Fast food was quite fast so that’s a plus. I had a lot of takeaway as you can imagine.
Cleanliness of the hotel itself is adequate but I did see dirty areas, the walls need a lick of paint.
Surrounding areas - 0/10, the staff were not welcoming.
