Decent hotel with solid value for money. The rooms and interior are somewhat worn down, but the place is clean and the location great. The best pizza/pasta place is just across the street and the energy-level of the breakfast chef is unparalleled.

The hotel and the staff were great. Especially the employees at breakfast. We loved his kindness and you could tell that he loves his job. We really loved the potatoes that he makes also. The only issue we had was the homeless people and the younger crowds smoking weed on about every street corner and on the beach. The smell of it was awful. I didn't like that my kids had to experience that.

Got stuck on the balcony. Door wouldnt open. It was rusty and swelled or something. It didnt even shut all the way. Just stuck. Had to call front desk to come get it open. Open hallways like a motel, limited breakfast with workers singing and listening to music whole time. Room was very small. Supossed to be a king bed but had two twin beds crammed in there. Had to turn sideways to get past the wall and the bed(the end of bed, not the sides) no tub, only a shower which may not be a big deal to some, but women like to sit in a tub to get clean you know. Not worth the premium price for beachfront. If this place wasnt on the beach it'd be 80 a night.

The property was dirty. There was evidence the linen was not clean. There was a water leak in our room that soaked the carpet, and maintenance told us to keep towels down. The room was spacious. The only redeeming quality was the amazing ocean view.

The Stay was wonderful we had the best time and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fresh and hot and always good. If you are going to Virginia Beach ,stay here you will be impressed.

My shower leaked badly. They were very good about sending up the maintenance man and he tried to plug the leak but it didn't work. It was inconvenient cleaning the water off the floor every time I showered. It was great having a balcony and ocean view but the bedroom was in the back so I couldn't enjoy the ocean air, sounds & view when I was sleeping. That was a disappointment. Location was perfect!

The door staff and the breakfast staff were great, they were the best part of the hotel and our trip. The man that brought extra bedding to my room after waiting an hour and the second call down to the front desk, was very rude. I explained to the manager on call how the entire interaction went and she told me that this man was not very social and in her words was “slow”. I explained that I could understand this however he should not be bringing items to guests rooms if he is not able to make eye contact or hold a basic “here you go, thank you, your welcome, one minute while I go look for the pillows.” Conversation. The shower leaked every day as it was not sealed correctly & we felt bad asking for more towels daily after the whole blanket ordeal the first night. The balcony door was so rusted that I was not able to open it from the outside and accidentally got locked out on the balcony until my daughter opened the door from inside. After that we made sure to prop something in the doorway so that the door didn’t fully shut if we went on the balcony. We were not informed that the pool was closed, when we got there we were told it was closed and that we could utilize the sister hotels indoor pool, which we did check out but after using once we did not go back, it was very dirty and gross. The whole reason we picked our hotel was because it was on the beach and had a pool, we would not have booked here if there was something advising the pool would be closed during our stay.

Location Location! Breakfast was great and the employees seemed to love what they do. Our king suite was perfect for our needs with table and chairs to eat our meals, sofa sleeper and nice sized balcony, covered parking! We will be back.
