The room was nice, but in a very unsafe part of town. Actually all of Oakland is unsafe . All hotels in downtown were sold out because of ICE protests. So I paid double the normal rate and stayed here. The hotel is fine , and breakfast is good.

I woke up to crawling ant on me so at this point I did not feel comfortable the constant feeling of Something's crawling on me as well as around or on the ground it was infested I had to wake up at 4:00 in the morning for them to do something about this at this point I should be having a relaxing stay and it wasn't nothing relaxing about this day very disappointing and the person I even tried to talk to you with Expedia was not even trying to help basically telling me Oh well something that you have to accept no absolutely not I demand and still demand for something to help be done about it and to be contacted about it

    My stay at Holiday Inn Express was excellent from start to finish. Check-in was quick and welcoming, with friendly and professional staff who made the process smooth and stress-free. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that guest comfort and service are a top priority.     The hotel was very clean throughout, and the room was modern, quiet, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and provided a great night’s sleep. The room also had everything needed for both relaxation and productivity, including a convenient workspace and fast, reliable Wi-Fi.     The bathroom was spotless, with good water pressure, fresh towels, and quality toiletries. Everything felt well maintained and carefully prepared, which made the stay even more comfortable.     The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations, offering a wide variety of fresh and hot options. The breakfast area was clean, well organized, and regularly restocked, with staff attentive to guests’ needs.     Overall, Holiday Inn Express delivers outstanding value, comfort, and consistency. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling for business or leisure

I did not care for breakfast. The sausage was overcooked. The muffins needed more time in the oven. As a baker I look at how baked goods are prepared. The WiFi took too long to access the web.

Breakfast is fine. The rooms had ants in the bathroom. He said it’s this time here and there’s ants everywhere in all of the rooms. I feel like they could do something. Also, they charge me $10 to take me bus to the airport. I was not expecting that. I will not stay here again, even though the check-in process was fine.
