Absolutely wonderful “Historic Hotels of America” hotel. Beautiful lobby with a very nice bar. Huge, QUIET room. Wonderful bed. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Molten Brown shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. But the BEST thing about the hotel was its safe and convenient location … close to a metro stop, short walk to Georgetown, the wharf, the Kennedy Center, the White House. There was a Trader Joe’s across the street and a Whole Foods a few blocks away. Only slight negative … housekeeping every 3 days, and cups and soap/lotion in the room not replaced. Had to ask for more at the desk. Also no black tea available at the morning lobby tea service, only flavored herb teas - bring your own black tea if you are a tea drinker.

The stay was okay, but I believe the communication should have been better. The central HVAC is very bad. I needed to switch off the power for heater and open my windows because the room was too hot and it couldn't be turned to cold mode because they have the system of heating in the entire hotel in winter and for cooling in summer. The trash from my room was never collected despite asking them to do so. The location of stay is remarkable, and ease of access to almost anywhere. Many dining options and fun activities to do near by.

Great location, otherwise nothing special.

Room not cleaned nor towels and linens changed during our three night visit. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles nearly impossible to read due to small print. Solution would be to have a legible label afixed to the wall above each bottle.

Excellent, large room. A 3 minute walk to Trader Joe’s. Opt for parking spots out front (be sure to be out by 7am) or use a local lot - valet parking is way too expensive.

Everything was rather poor unfortunately. Reception was rude and inattentive, WiFi was not suitable for work (how is this possible in 2025?; 4mbps WiFi), and request for late checkout (by one hour) denied despite a 3pm check in time. Overall quite poor but hopefully the above is easy to fix with minimal effort.
