Reported the sink was not draining within the bathroom as we left for a night out. Expected the issue to be resolved. Returned- no change and unable to use. Near midnight had to move rooms- unacceptable. New family room…. One towel. Disappointed as first time stayed and normally reliable brand hotel. Just poor customer service.

The room was clean, but had some problems. There was only one chair - dining room type - so little comfort for a couple watching tv etc. The main light in the bathroom was not working making it a bit dark. The food/drink was expensive and not of good quality.

We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge. Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel . Caroline and Laura were helpful , we rang because we could not quite find your location on our sat nav. staff helped us on this matter and then found you quickley. kind regards to all at penny Hedge. Ann and David Jackson.
