We really enjoyed our week long stay here. We loved being able to walk on the beach and look at rocks. We attempted to have a bon fire but the wood was really wet so we werent very successful but we definitely laughed about our attempts. We also enjoyed using the pool and hot tub every night after a long day of hiking and adventures! The wifi kept going in and out and we had no service so it made making phone calls a bit difficult but that didnt bother us too much because we did enjoy being disconnected for a bit! When we checked in Kory helped us and told us he made the waterfall map and we took it with us everywhere and tried to hit all the beautiful waterfalls so that was a super nice thing since we couldnt get service! Very happy with our stay and looking forward to making the trip back up next year!

Breakfast and Lake Superior

This is a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the staff who runs it is so nice. The best part is that it is right on Lake superior unbelievable views great day, will definitely stay again.

Great stay but inadequate laundry services

The service was excellent and we enjoyed the location, the pool, and the restaurant. The biggest concern we had was the laundry services for guests; they were limited and the dryer took almost 2 1/2 hours to completely dry our clothing even though we didn’t overfill the dryer. The filter was torn and caught on clothing. The other concern were the bed linens which were very itchy and rough to sleep on. That said, our stay overall was very pleasant!

Overall decent facility. We did not have hot water for showers and did not have internet service within the room which was unfortunate. Didn’t use the pool, laundry machines were nice and there was a nice selection for breakfast

Perfect location for rockhounds!

I had the best time during our stay and we'll absolutely be back! The location was perfect for hunting agates and yooperlites and other gorgeous stones. A bit far from any store like walmart so get your necessities prior but there is a gift shop and 2 restaurants on site. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious and the staff was great!

Great location

Excellent location, the Hotel is very close to the Porcupine Mountains park. It is the only option available if you re visiting the Porkies in Michigan's UP. The hotel amenities are good. The house keeping staff is friendly. The hotel is on the lake, but the beach is rocky and not accessible for swimming. There is no gas station near the hotel, the hotel has a gas pump onsite, they sell premium gas at a steep price.

Great location. On-site restaurant has an extensive menu with great service and wonderful lake views. Breakfast included was much greater than a normal continental breakfast.
