The resort was a really nice experience, lots of things to do and to keep you occupied. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner buffet's and service were excellent. We tried a couple of specialty restaurants, but the food quality and service were really lacking, we were disappointed.

All the Staff were so nice and friendly. A huge shout out to Samantha and Brian our concierge at Building 21. Also Moses from Belize our golf cart driver. And finally Roman at the Snack Bar for being so nice and great to chat with. Excellent service all around.

There is wheelchair accessibility throughout the entire property, some buildings dont have an elevator so make sure to get a room near the lobby where there are two. And it's near most restaurants and stores. The property is beautiful specially if you like nature. There are plenty of choices for food and its pretty good, dont expect 5star restaurant quality on all of it but you will always find something you like. All the staff is really nice, any issues and they will make it right. There are several pools, very very big pools so there are choices for tranquility and there are choices for entertainment.

Bel hôtel entouré de belle végetation et d'animaux sauvages. Endroit propre. Nourriture bonne. Check IN à revoir super lent avec plusieurs files d'attentes quand on arrive pour se faire servir, ils nous indiquent que c'est pas la bonne file et qu''on doit aller voir l'autre collègue. Café au lobby =payant ça aussi c'est un gros point négatif pour nous (surtout au prix qu'on paye pour une nuit! ) À tous les places qu'on a visité c'est le seul qu'il faut payer. Chambres bloc 10 (à côté du lobby très bruyant car proche du théatre et discothèque). Belle plage artificielle, on trouve toujours des chaises facilement. Bon service au bar de la plage. Personnel amical et serviable au buffet, bar, snack bar. On a aimé la proximité du parc XCaret on a pu revenir diner pendant notre journée de visite et revenir au parc par la suite.

Second time at this resort and the people are really amazing. The food is great. The only problem was the amount of carts and small trucks driving around. Too many and we had to get out of the way several times everyday to let them pass. Just walk! Also, the resort looks a little more tired as it ages so would be nice to see some upgrades. Highly recommend.

We were a group of three families who took four royal rooms for six nights. Food and beach view from the restaurant awesome. Some of the waiters at Royal were not friendly to us since we had small children and they kept on spilling water on the table. We didn’t feel welcomed always. Royal front desk was friendly but untrained. I got locked out of my room almost everyday . They were not able to fix our bracelets to work properly. Xcarat unlimited was awesome which is why we chose this place . Landscape and grounds, and lagoon all are beautiful. We are at the main buffet once and beach cafe , snack bar once and then la Hacienda Mexican restaurant once. Food was alright but won’t exceed expectations in those places. Royal food is beyond awesome. What we paid for the rooms is just worth the food we got .

Great location, the xcaret park is beautiful and there is plenty to do without purchasing extras. If you want to rent a car i recommend doing so through one of the agencies in Playa del Carmen, youll save a ton of money and there are many beautiful sites to explore around the area, everything can be done without tour guides, and going at your own pace is much more enjoyable.

Beatify property, good food, lovely setting, great options between pools, beach area and adult beach/ pool and friendly staff. Having Xcaret park right next-door is an awesome option if you buy into that package - well worth it!
