As soon as you walk in, the entire place smells strongly of dogs, and there’s dog hair all over the hallways and carpets, which are noticeably dirty. The website claims the hotel is newly renovated, but the bathroom walls in our room were damp and visibly damaged, with signs of rot. Definitely not what we expected based on the online description.

Had terrible luck with the room service. Arrived after an hour, no one knocked on the door to let us know that it was there and the worst part was that it wasn't even what we ordered! It was late at night and we weren't willing to leave the hotel. Had to settle for cup of noodles for dinner. Not impressed. The bathroom was fine, but should've have a couple more towel sets.

The new updated rooms are very nice. We ended getting a room on the third floor and the hallways smelled really bad, almost like a mix of urines. Once you get into the room its good, you can't smell that smell anymore but that smell is extremely unpleasant. There is only one elevator and there were a couple of times that house keeping would hold the elevator on a certain floor going in and out with their carts and you have to wait for a while.

Hotel was advertised as newly renovated but our room did not reflect that. Bathroom was moldy and old. It was very noisy both in the hallway and rooms above us. Parking lot felt unsafe and area felt run down.

The place overall looks a little rundown and old. There were no amenities in the bathrooms. We also had to ask for more towels for our room of four, since we were only provided two. The sheets needed to be switched out because they were dirty.

Overall the hotel is good, hot tub was broken… ok that happens. The only complaint that I have is all the homeless people that congregate around the hotel especially in the morning s. I went outside about 6:30 and there was 4 of them sitting on the bench. I thought ok maybe they sleep here, but come to find out as soon as breakfast opens they swarm the hotel, load up on coffee and food and the staff allow it. I was lucky enough to get a cup of coffee but my GF got up at 8:00 and all 3 pots were empty and there was a constant line of people (very noticeable that they weren’t guests) filling plates. Some eating there and some loading 2 plates of food and a huge cup filled with coffee, filling pockets with muffins and yogurt etc. I understand some people are less fortunate but everyone of these people were young, physically able to work, filthy and noticeably on drugs. I won’t be staying here again. Seems like rates would be lower if we weren’t paying for homeless to have breakfast. While loading the truck to leave a homeless lady came up to our vehicle asking for change and started screaming at us when we wouldn’t give her any. I’m going to call management, maybe they don’t know but I don’t see how they can’t. Abq has a huge homeless and drug problem but I don’t think that they should be allowed into the hotel or any other non paying guest for that matter and have free reign. I’m sure one or 2 sneak in everywhere but this place is definitely known as a free breakfast to them

There were large puddles of water leading from the pool room to the elevator. There was a large amount of standing water in the elevators which was not wiped up. The standing water posed a safety risk for injury from possible falls. There was only one elevator for. 3 story hotel. The elevator space was limited resulting in a lot of waiting time to access rooms or for egress.

I liked the spacious room, there is a comfortable sofa for extra sleeping space. Also the rooms are not carpeted which is very good, no bad odors and very clean. Only the bathtub is a bit old and there are very small tubes of shampoo per family.
