Great location near to the park and museums. Reception staff were friendly and stored our luggage on the final day. Decent sized room but a very tiny bathroom. The shower has no door so ends up flooding the whole bathroom. Room was not particularly clean, quite a lot of dust and dirty splashes on the furniture. Room did not get serviced during our 3 night stay but they did bring clean towels. Overall I wouldn’t really recommend this hotel, but if it’s your only option then it’s reasonably adequate.

The only positive was the location. The room and halls were so grubby (see attached photos). The room was noisy to both inside and outside of the hotel. If I paid a minimal amount I would understand but for £519.82 for 3 nights it was truly woeful. There was also was a scarf missing from the room while we went for dinner. Our towels were changed that day and the do not disturb sign was on the door so no one had reason to enter the room - We brought this up with the front desk and without finishing our sentence he simply shook his head, when we finished our sentence he said that it wasn’t possible, he didn’t even take a description or meet our query with any form of respect. The other staff we interacted with seemed nice though. We got new towels when asked and the sheets looked clean (just not the mattresses).

We stayed in the outdoor rooms at the rear of property, ideal as no stairs or lift to contend with only a few steps and as more mature travellers for us this was good. The staff were helpful and pleasant and it was peaceful and quiet, very secure and could hear the birds chirping in the trees. Although the hotel does not do food, there are numerous food options within the shortest of walking distance and a great little Spar which sells all sorts of takeaway food and drinks, you could bring your food back and sit either inside or outside to consume and they have a vending machine for chocolate/drinks. The transport in the area is excellent, frequent bus, tram and even a two canal boat cruise boarding stops near. All the main attractions are walkable although this does take maybe 20/30 minutes but is an enjoyable walk as you see everything on the way. All in all we had a good 3 day stay at the Hotel Vossius Vondelpark.

The only good thing about this property was it's location. Despite the non-smoking signs everywhere the lobby and rooms reaked, the front desk employee was nowhere to be found when we were trying to check in and sleeping when we tried to check out. They clearly didn't clean the room between guests (just made the bed). There were stains on the bedding, hair and gunk in the shower, and it was smelly. The TV remote was broken and the hair dryer had melted into the wall... the front desk did provide a replacement upon request. And it's LOUD. People in and out of the lobby at all hours of the night and the walls are paper thin. And it was still pricey! Just spend $20 more a night and stay somewhere better.

Carpet in the property was stained. Both boiler and hairdryer in my room weren't working (I got a spare hairdryer from them). One mirror light in the barhroom wasn't working, making it quite hard to use that mirror properly, being the bathroom quite dark already. The bag in the bathroom bin was missing so I've used one I owned. The bed headerboard was not clean - and worn out in some areas - as well as some areas of the walls. Part of the desk was chipped. Overall it felt like they didn't really bother deep cleaning in a while, and considering I had no breakfast option, I believe the price for my stay was way too high, considering.

Only good things about this hotel were location, water pressure from the shower head, and a staff member was present in the lobby 24/7. Hotel room cleanliness was questionable - dust hanging from the walls & sheets felt itchy. "Bed" was ~2 inch mattress. On certain days they left new towels in the room, though on one day they forgot to close the door to my hotel room. The hotel room doors do not lock from the inside. There is a small safe in the hotel room. Bathroom had weird smell. Essentially this was an overpriced hotel room with the very bare minimum that had a good location (near museums, public transportation, and restaurants). Would not go back.

Tres bon emplacement pres de tout. Aurait besoin de rafraîchissement. Le matelas est fait de plusieurs couches qui bougent tout le temps. J’ai eu des fourmis mais le problème a été reglé sur demande. Pas de déjeuners… et pas grand chose autour.

Great location right beside vondelpark and close to the museums. 40 minute bit easy walk to Centraal Station, rooms are small but functional. Overall perfect for me and my friend for what we needed. Staff were very friendly.

This hotel is conveniently located near the museum park area. Close to the tramways to get around and restaurants. I suggest staying on an upper level as we were on the 1st floor and the street and the park tend to be noisy at night.

We had a good stay at this hotel. I understand other guests reviews - the rooms are small, the place is loud, and a bit rundown. However, I thought for the location and price it was great. The staff are very nice and offer luggage storage. Probably wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than two nights though.
