Property was functional, upkeep was fair and close to many areas in the De Piip neighborhood. Situated in a traditional Dutch home, it had no elevator only steep stairs to navigate. Decent stay, but may look for other options next time.

We stayed in the quadruple room, hotel staff was nice and the room was great & clean. As mentioned by the hotel the sound isolation is not the best, you might hear people walking through the corridors in the morning but it’s really not an issue. Besides that breakfast is good, the area is nice and quiet, and within walkable (less than 15 minutes) distance from Amsterdam.

First time in Amsterdam. Great location, I walked nearly everywhere rather than get a bus/tram. The staff where very welcoming and made check in and check out very easy. Clean bedroom/bathroom and a comfortable bed for a couple of nights. Very happy with my choice of hotel. Will recommend and hopefully come back

Overall great property! The room could have been a little cleaner and the stairs are dangerous definitely an inconvenience but that’s typical for Amsterdam. Great neighborhood and great stay.

Miss this one.

Surprise late check in fee of €45 even though they have a clerk at the front counter 24 hours per day. Room was very cold with no temperature control available. Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows were awful. Blankets were the size of bath towels.

It was quite for the most part, some of the tenants were noisy, but it is what it is. The front desk was helpful as they could be. The downside, housekeeping services took my personal towel, and the front desk made amends by giving me a free breakfast on the day I was checking out. Overall a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate to book there again.

Good Location for Museums and Concert Gebouw

The hotel is located a 6 minute walk from tram (#5 or #12 I think from Centraal Station) and the same from the Concert Gebouw and only a minute or two longer to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. While the building is a little tired, my room was clean and comfortable. The room was in the basement and had a dehumidifier running constantly. In spite of this it had a musty odor. If you are sensitive to mold, get a room on an upper floor. Staff was friendly, spoke excellent English, and was very helpful. Not fancy, but I wasn’t looking for fancy. I would stay again.

The Hotel is located in a great area. There are lots of attractions in walking distance. Although it is clean, it is very old. There is no elevator, and the stairs are very steep. Our room was on the 4th floor and it was difficult to carry just two pieces of luggage. The staff was nice, however, I had a situation that was not resolved. I accidently broke a small drinking glass in the bathroom, I paid 3 Euros, and I also noticed they charged my credit card as well. I called the Hotel and left a message for the manager but nothing was reimbursed.

Disappointed

Booked a double bed (10months in advance) but given room with twin beds. They moved us after the first night. Small room. No drawers or shelves so could only unpack hanging clothes. No drink-making facilities. Old Dutch house so extremely steep stairs. Little natural light in basement room. Staff very slow to replenish empty breakfast supplies. But very convenient location and very quiet street.
