This hotel is right at the cruise port, with service to have your bags delivered to the ship. Great views of the harbour and we were able to see our cruise ship come in. The hotel is pricey, but if you are cruising, this is the best location in Vancouver. Great drinks at the Harbour Bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nespresso coffee maker in the room.

Overall a very good property. The only problem was check-in. I requested for early check-in on medical grounds. However, they ended up checking in 1 hr and 30 minutes late. (Around 5:30 PM). I think they could have been more flexible and should be empathetic towards someone’s situation. Except that, I found everything good. The staff at Ocean restaurant and Coal Harbour bar was exceptional. So lower rating of staff is because of check in issues. Bar has awesome drinks. Must try.

Vancouver get away

The Pan Pacific hotel is in a beautiful setting in Vancouver. Our room had a panoramic view of the harbour and North Shore mountains. Paying extra for the Pacific Club makes the stay extra special.Walking in the area is safe and interesting. Close to the downtown centre. Parking yourself is easy and close, with saves assigned to the hotel

The hotel offers the best view of Coal Harbour. I wouldn’t recommend staying here during cruise ship season if you’re sensitive to noise, as the cruise terminal is directly beneath the hotel — plus, you might get a wake-up call from seagulls pecking at your window in the morning. However, if noise doesn’t bother you, the location is extremely convenient for cruise travelers. I highly recommend dining at the Five Sails restaurant located inside the hotel — it’s excellent. That said, I had a terrible experience with both the housekeeping team and the front desk. Also, just a heads-up: during peak season, there can be long lineups for check-in, both during the day and at night. While I didn’t experience the wait personally, I did see large crowds lining up during my stay. Overall, this hotel is best suited for people traveling by cruise ship, those who enjoy spa services, and anyone who values convenience. It’s close to hotel restaurants, local dining spots, downtown, and various shops — all within walking distance.
