One night stay in Ann Arbor

Hotel was a bit dated, though it had seen some remodeling over the years. Carpet in hallway, especially by the elevators on the 4th floor, was very stained. Room was clean, but had a pretty heavy musty odor. Breakfast looked pretty good. Employees were friendly and courteous. Pool was closed for cleaning (I guess).

When I aim for an affordable or inexpensive hotel stay, Larkspur Landing is what I want. The property is old and the parking lot adjacent to the hotel (for overflow parking where we parked all weekend) had some bad potholes. But those were the only downsides. Staff was attentive and helpful, the room was clean and well-kept, and the amenities were acceptable. I would definitely stay here again. For the price of the stay, this hotel does its best to create a quality experience for guests.

Great hotel

The hotel was better than I expected! It was comparable to any big hotel chains. Clean, comfortable room, great breakfast, great location. The only thing that was disappointing was the pool being closed when it looked like it was in working condition. I can't ever tell if sometimes hotels do this on purpose. The only complaint I had was that one of the front desk employees was unfriendly and unwelcoming, but the rest were helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean overall and I would stay there again without question.

This hotel has recently changed management, and it's clearly early in the process. Room numbers are written in Sharpie (apparently the old ones had the logo of the previous manager), hot water was a bit spotty. The breakfast was ample and well staffed. The location on the North Campus isn't real obvious, but it was only 7-8 minutes to get to the central campus.
