Hurricane Helene tried to throw us a curveball, but we’re thrilled to announce that our property emerged unscathed—just a few trees took a tumble, and they’ve already been tidied up. We’ve got all the essentials back in place: power, water, and internet are fully up and running, so you’ll feel right at home.
The roads are clear as a sunny day, making it a breeze to get to and from our doorstep. And here’s the cherry on top: many of the local restaurants and attractions are open and eager to welcome you with open arms. Whether you’re looking to kick back and relax or dive into some local adventures, we’ve got everything ready to make your stay nothing short of fantastic.

The Pet Friendly* - Berne Chalet newly updated 3/2 vacation rental is tucked in the tree tops, yet just 5 minutes from the middle of Asheville! It is a 2-story duplex, the Upper Berne is a 2/1 open floor plan. The Lower Berne is a 1 bed/1 bath with a screened in porch for warm weather and a fenced-in yard for pets. Free Wi-fi with high-speed internet and large screen Roku tv's. Each unit has its own fully stocked kitchen and entrance. This listing is for the entire Full Berne (Upper & Lower) There is not an interior door connecting the two units.

A large front porch on the upper level with a grill, table and chairs and sitting area as well as an additional side porch add to a tree house feel. Perfect for enjoying your morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the mountains. We supply all linens, towels and robes.

The Berne Chalet has the location you want when visiting Asheville, with the feeling of being far away from it all on a hillside, yet literally a 3 minute drive to downtown Asheville. There are three spacious bedrooms (2 king and 1 queen beds) and two bathrooms. The upper Berne features a 75" smart TV with Roku and Spectrum's new streaming app offering 250 live channels in the living room. All bedrooms have Roku TVs as well. Both kitchens are fully stocked with coffee, tea, condiments, spices, pots & pans, dishes and utensils and more. A washer/dryer is in the queen bedroom closet.

There is a handicap accessible ramp up to the upper level deck and there is parking for 2 vehicles at the house. Guest parking is a short walk away.

You'll receive cookies from Judy's Well-Bred Bakery & Café as well as a $10 gift certificate and treats for your pup.

* Pet Policy -
No Pets on beds! - While we do NOT allow pets on beds, If your pet sleeps with you, you may bring your own bedding including sheets, pillowcases, and any blankets or comforters. Please let us know if this is the case and that you'll will be bringing your own. We will leave your beds without linens at your request, and leave ours in the closet.

Please note: Dog hair on bedding will incur an automatic additional $50 charge per bed.

Dog beds are not provided, please bring your dogs favorite, comfy bed from home.

Please do not use our bath towels for your pet. Paper towels and dog towels are provided for that purpose.

Clean up after your pet: Please be courteous and responsible to other guests and clean up any/all pet refuse in or out of dog pens. We have several “doggy waste bag” dispensers on the property for your convenience and a poop scooper in pet yards.

Pets are expected to be current on their shots and have flea protection treatment.

Pets must be leashed at all times when outside.
If your pet sheds excessively or there is extra cleaning required due to pet hair, stains or odors there will be an extra cleaning charge.

Please be considerate of your fellow neighbors who may be disturbed from your dog’s barking.

Dogs are not to be left unattended. We can provide a soft sided crate if necessary and a list of doggie day cares.

Registered Service and ESA Animals: Guests with certified service or ESA animals are allowed; we ask that you provide email documentation of your certification.
