Great staff, great location & walkable to everywhere. Definitely a backpacking place. Abit confuse upon arrival since the building is in the back of another building of the Main Street. Old building with small rooms but doable. Same with bathroom, but all room are clean with minimal decor and old dark carpet & bed cover. Each room has small tv, small refrigerator, water heater, fan and heater. They do have huge community rooms (just chairs & tables & few couches). Overall, fit with the costs.

My only feedback is the house keeping staff being mindful of the guests that are staying. Everyday form 10-2 they were letteing doors slam, vacuuming hitting the walls and talking loudly in the hallway. Not ideal if you want to sleep in or work from your room. Location & frint desk were great.

The room was fine & clean - the furniture in the lobby & common room needs to be thrown out in the trash. It is all extremely dirty. I would not even sit on it. Staff is very limited in what they can do. Basically on your own to figure everything out.

Excellent for your first arrival to New Zealand. Is near to everything you might need; the public library is around 3 blocks away for any doc printing you might need. There are all the major bank branches near and money exchange stores. Also, if you don´t have car, there are several bus stops near the hotel. My room was clean and quiet, and the bathrooms and toilets were clean an well serviced. The staff was nice and friendly.
