The hotel is conveniently located downtown near the South Congress bridge and within walking distance of attractions, historic sites, and great dining. The hotel staff are courteous and welcome. The rooms are spacious and the bedding and toiletries are great.

checked in early fairly easily. The room was very warm upon arriving and took a while to cool—I was on the 30th floor so it never got that cool. Had a few maintenance issues—phones stopped working and shower knob fell off and had a hard time showering. The lights in the bathroom also flickered a lot when I was getting ready two nights in a row. I had to ask for a mini fridge twice as well. The WiFi fees were ridiculous. Overall property is starting to age. The gym was nice and had an ok salmon dinner. Food wise it was better eating off premises. The bath products were very nice quality.

The Fairmont is our “Go to” hotel in Austin. Head and shoulders above the rest . They never fail to meet or exceed our expectations. The staff are outstanding and the hotel is beautiful and so well appointed. The pool is wonderful! This is our 5th stay at the Fairmont when visiting family in Austin.
