BEDBUGS! DO NOT STAY HERE

I GOT BEDBUGS FROM THIS PLACE!!! Also I had to move to another room because the first one smelled so bad. The other one stunk less but still had a distinct smell. Front desk made it seem like they were doing me a favor with the move. Breakfast is awful and cops are constantly hanging around the parking lot. I’m pretty low-maintenance when it comes to accommodations but this was truly a new low. Do not stay here, it’s really not worth it!

One of the worst hotels I've stayed in

I think the bed had bedbugs, the parking was not clear on the website that it was being charged, the complimentary breakfast is terrible, the room seemed moldy, the lock on the door is lose, there was no change of sheets and towels on a daily basis. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in.

The property itself is very rundown. The rooms stunk of mold. The shower knob just fell off when I went to turn it on just reminds me of a rundown drug motel. I was also quoted $25 for parking and then when I left, I was forced to pay $50 for parking. I will never stay there again.

My stay here was terrible. Although this is a budget hotel, there should still be some kind of standards. The first room I was given, the bed looked like someone had been in it because the covers were pulled down and the pillows looked like they were just used. The attendant apologized and gave me a key to another room. When washing my hands in the bathroom sink, it was clogged and would not drain. Went back down and the attendant said they did not have a maintenance person there at the time and upgraded the room for the inconvenience, and gave me the key to a third room. When I opened this room, all the lights were on, the bed was again undone like someone had just used it, and there was a key card on the bed sheet. Another trip to the office, and the attendant profusely apologized. She gave me the key to a fourth room. When I entered, it smelled a bit like cigarette smoke, and the t.v. was broken. Since this one was a lot cleaner than the other 3 rooms and I just decided to stay in this one since it was probably the best that it was going to get. In addition, I had to pay $35 for parking. When you select "property details" it states "parking available" . You have to click on the "all about this property" to go to another screen to see where it states you need to pay for parking.

I didn’t like that I had to pay for parking. I didn’t like that it stunk in the room I was in. It is very close to the capital. I did like the location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The covers looked used. :/

DO NOT STAY HERE

I would not recommend staying here. I usually never write reviews, but I wanted to warn people. There’s a mandatory valet parking fee of $35 per night that was not disclosed when I booked. I was surprised to find out about it upon arrival. To make matters worse, it wasn’t even true valet service — we parked the car ourselves while someone stood by to ensure we paid the fee. Additionally, there was a man wandering the property in his underwear, appearing to be under the influence of something at night. It was unclear whether he was a guest or not, which made us feel unsafe. We only stayed one night. The appeal of this place was the advertised price, which turned out to be misleading due to the hidden parking charge. Had I known, I would’ve chosen a different hotel. I won’t be returning.

I got the room and was told there were two queen beds when I entered the room there were not queen beds and the room smelled. The next room we were given was told it was a deluxe suite with a fridge and microwave the fridge was broken and the bathroom light did not work. So we were moved yet again and when we got to the room there were other guests belongings in the room. So for a 4th time we had to change our room again. Poor service. Hotel also charged valet parking for $53 per night.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The place is quite worn down but conveniently located right next to the Capitol building, and within walking distance of downtown Austin and UT Austin. Works fine if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. The housekeeper in our corridor was not very friendly, but at least the one in the opposite corridor was, giving us a hello and a smile to start our day.
