Dalmunzie is a quiet country retreat which is great for a romantic getaway. The country side around the property is beautiful with sheep and goats. Good golf course.
There is a narrow old staircase. So you need to be able to carry your own luggage upstairs. Great food and wonderful breakfast.
Great location to visit Balmoral Castle and the Glenshee ski fields in winter.
The stairs were a little tough but staff took our luggage up and down. There was no air conditioning but the air outside was cool enough to bring the room temperature down with the windows open. The place was charming with a beautiful setting. It was very enjoyable!
The Dalmunzie Castle was a magical place. My whole family loved this hotel- teenage boys and all! The staff were beyond friendly and helpful, the setting was the definition of idyllic, and the hotel oozed charm. We wished we could have stayed longer!
The food and service were fantastic and the hotel is situated in the most beautiful surroundings. A stunning place to stay. We will definitely be back.
Amazing experience at a castle, I would definitely stay longer for next time!

Lovely castle hotel set in a beautiful valley between the hills. Decor is very Scottish and quite quirky but looking a bit tired in places that could be fixed quite easily and would make the hotel great instead of very good. A charging point for mobile phones in the room would be welcome and an easy fix. Had a truly enjoyable stay and the staff were excellent.
We loved our stay here! Lovely staff, beautiful grounds, the room was large and the bed was comfortable. The food was delicious! Highly recommend it!

This is such a unique stay. It is tucked way back in a beautiful location - we were so pleased with the solitary nature of the hotel! It is a *bit* fancier than we expected, but we were overall pleased with the space.
The food at this property was one of the worst experiences I have had at a hotel. The food was exceptionally expensive and, to be honest, quite strange. To me, it seemed as if the menu was needlessly fancy. I am all for an adventurous menu but it has to be properly executed. Fish cakes were cold, the chocolate venison dish was served with a melted chocolate on the plate, and the chicken liver pate only contained one texture on the plate.
The cooks could cook as all of the breakfast was excellent, but the main meals were honestly entirely dissapointing and horrendously overpriced.
We love this hotel! It is an older property but I felt it was very well renovated while still keeping the authentic feel. The decor was so cutesy!! The staff was very friendly and helpful .The setting was amazing. Can't say enough good things about this property. We would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful location in the middle of no where, quiet and serene.

Our stay was fabulous! The room was beautiful and had everything we needed. The food and service was excellent! We cannot say enough about our stay! The surroundings were also quite beautiful with sheep on the hillside and horses grazing, river running alongside the castle. We needed to dry our clothing and the staff took care of that for us without batting an eye. Thankyou to all that work there!
Highlight of my mom's week was getting to stay here! The castle had so much personality, wonderful atmosphere. Staff was wonderful. Grounds were gorgeous! Dining was amazing.
