Our stay at Marriott during our honeymoon was really perfect. The staff took care of us in the best way, from the smooth check in to the room service for laundry. We had a late checkout and the hotel let us use the facilities and the baggage storage. Everything worked very well. The hotel is not very close to the metro or sky trains but they have a free shuttle service and in most of the cases we used bolt or grab because it was very convenient. The swimming pool and the bar at the last floor were really cool and the view is stunning. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

An amazing stay at the Bangkok Marriott. Kind and knowledgeable staff who go above and beyond. Gorgeous room and hotel amenities including fitness center, pool, lobby lounge, and restaurants. Loved the variety of food and drink options. Everything we tried was excellent! Local market and convenience store across the street. Good location to get to and from all the tourist attractions. A recommended stay!

Overrated and Run-Down – Not Worth It!

Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse is definitely an old hotel that desperately needs a full renovation, especially in the rooms and by the pool. Its glory days are long gone, and calling it a 5-star hotel is a real joke. Let’s start from the beginning – the room is completely uninsulated; you can hear doors slamming in other rooms, the elevator, and even noises from neighboring rooms! The room itself looks terrible – peeling paint on the walls in a so-called 5-star hotel? At the pool, if you swim to the edge, you can see dirt floating in the water and broken pieces of lighting. The gym is dirty and poorly maintained. And the best part – breakfast. I was served coffee in a mug with a broken handle. A slight moment of inattention, and I could have burned myself! As for the "amazing" view from the top floor – there are plenty of other places in Bangkok with similar views. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Truly a five star hotel experience! The staff were amazing I’ve never been treated so nicely at any other hotel before. Even got a free upgrade since king size bed room is not available. Surely will stay here again in the future 👍
