Firstly, I was upgraded to a larger room with was so kind of them! The room was cosy, very spacious, and most importantly clean. I hate bugs lol and this had very minimal bugs. Breakfast was good, they have chefs making you fresh items such as eggs. This is also the only place I’ve been able to have sausages as they did chicken ones - thank you. Nice juices on offer and a wide selection of pastries, fruit, etc. Staff are friendly and attentive. Water was hot all days I stayed other than the last morning. The only downside is that the hotel is a lot better than the photos used on the website. They are definitely underselling themselves. There is a gym, a tennis and paddle court, a little playground for the kids, and the beach is fab. I’d recommend Senegambia hotel and the onsite beauty salon is affordable too. I had a full body massage there which was great and had my pedicure and gel nails done too! The location is good, you’re right on the strip (sometimes can be noisy but not that deep) loads of good restaurants around (I’d recommend Reos or Sallys 24 for good Gambian food, 3Chicks for British food or Casa Afriq for a nicer dining experience) Tropic mall isn’t too far and there are local cash points around too. Download the 1Bena app for cabs. All in all, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you for making my 30th a great one!

A very enjoyable stay

The hotel is in a bustling tourist area but not as noisy as I feared. Easy to get around. Taxis are cheap. Lots of restaurants and cafes immediately outside. Very good breakfast selection. Helpful staff. Very clean room and clean around the hotel and grounds.

Second time staying here and it was just as good as the first. The service is impeccable and they really take care of their guests and the property. The tiniest bug was that last time I rented an apartment that included a kettle for heating water. This time there wasn't one in the room as they're only in the apartments and not the other rooms. The staff found one for me so no issue at all really, just to let you know if it matters.

Property was peaceful, staff excellent. A very good taxi service offered via the taxi controller at the hotel entrance. Bad points were: lack of plug points in rooms which were badly appointed. Very old fashioned and would not meet the 3 star standard given in the UK.

Beautiful hotel surrounded with lots of greenery. I enjoyed hearing the different types of birds early in the morning with their melodies. Very clean, quiet and conveniently located. The housekeeper Mari Mendy was amazing. My only issue was with some of the security staff members as they were a bit unprofessional. Overall I had a great time.

The staff make this hotel enjoyable. They are friendly, kind and helpful. I hope management pays them well because without their friendliness, I would rank this property lower. Generally, the property could use a refresh. My room was dark and the furnishings were old and chipped. The curtains should have been replaced years ago. The landscaping and pool areas are lovely, though, good job there. The breakfast is plentiful.

The rooms were nice and quiet. The walk to the beach is quick and the food selections was good. The only problems I had was the treatment from the staff. The staff treated me like I was not there by attending to other guest more. I went to lunch by the beach and the table was dirty and I asked to have one clean and I was told that after he finish cleaning the other tables he would clean mine.time went by and he forgot about my table, but if he wiped my table when I asked it would have been done. I had to ask a second time to someone else. The cleaning staff went unto my room early while I was at breakfast and said am I checking out, but I just checked in that night with a 2 day stay.

I have stayed at the Senegambia Beach Hotel many times before and it never disappoints. The staff all around the hotel are friendly and polite and can’t do enough to make your stay an enjoyable one. Jarra and Kemo at the beach pool are amazing guys who take care of everyone around the pool and are happy in their work. The breakfast is a various array of delicious food with egg and pancake chefs, you will not be disappointed! Can’t wait to return!
