Cute place. Very cozy and comfortable. Our room, Salt and Pepper was perfect. Nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. Coffee and tea at 3:30, nice touch. Breakfast simple but nice.

This is a wonderful place to stay in bustling Bar Harbor. On a quiet street walking distance to harbor and local restaurants and shops. Phoebe was the consummate host. Thank you for a memorable stay.

We love Bass Cottage!

My husband and I stayed in the Mint room in Bass Cottage. It was amazing! Beautifully furnished, roomy and very comfortable. We loved sitting in the arm chairs in our room of an afternoon, drinking coffee and eating the delicious complimentary fresh baked goods from the kitchen. Breakfast was outstanding. A savoury and sweet option are offered each morning - we had both and shared. Portions are very generous and the food was absolutely delicious. Love the location too. Tucked in behind the main street in a super quiet location but so close to all the shops, eateries and tours. Staff are super friendly and helpful. On site parking is an added bonus. We travelled all the way from Australia and hope to stay here again one day

Island Girl.

We stayed in the Pine Cone room on the 3rd floor. It should never be rented out. It was totally dysfunctional for any one over 4’ tall. The slanted ceiling made it dangerous and difficult to get out of bed. The bathroom was very small with a tiny shelf to hold drinking cups. There were no chairs to sit in, so we sat in the hallway outside our room to read and drink coffee. The room was not large enough to hold a chair, and barely had room for our suitcases. The host was very pleasant and served a good breakfast each morning. The accommodation were clean, but I would never stay there again. The room was extremely overpriced for what we received.

Breakfast was so good, and the staff were very nice! We stayed in the Ullikana house in the Pinecone room. Room was on 3rd floor and small as to be expected by description. Bed was very comfortable, and bathroom had all we needed for overnight stay. Houses are within a short walking distance to downtown shopping area and harbor. We would definitely stay again!
