I was very disappointed with my stay and feel that this hotel does not live up to its advertised 4-star rating. By American standards, it feels more like a basic motel. The room we stayed in was quite small and had a persistent musty smell. There were signs of black mold around the window frames, and the air conditioning system was outdated and ineffective in regulating temperature. I’ve stayed in 3-star hotels in Barcelona that were much cleaner and more comfortable. I also noticed trash left in the hallways, which gave a poor impression of the overall maintenance. If you’re traveling with family, I would recommend looking elsewhere, as this experience unfortunately took away from the charm that Barcelona otherwise has to offer.

I originally booked a room for the wrong date (got confused because we had an overnight flight), and immediately contacted them to see if I could change it. They said to contact Expedia, because it was non-refundable. In the meantime, I booked the following night. Expedia said they contacted the hotel, but the hotel denied the request for a refund. That just seemed stupid. So I essentially paid $600 for one night. And to make matters worse, the room was warm. A/C did not work very well. I would not stay here again.
