Room was well prepared, staff were excellent, and the breakfast was terrific! Was a little reluctant to stay at a hotel so near to the central station, but it was quiet and very convenient. Will stay here again when my travels take me to Basel.

Perfect!

Excellent location near to station, bus stops and well-stocked supermarket. Spotlessly clean.Stylish art deco rooms. Comfortable bed. Breakfast amazing - catering for all dietary requirements (I'm coeliac and the bread rolls were the best I've had!) Staff wonderful...free mini bar and chocolates... Can't find anything to complain about!

Little gem close to train station

Loved our stay here. Checkin was easy and quick. Staff were all nice and very helpful nothing was an issue. Especially Soraya and Caio, but everyone we dealt with were great. Soraya checked us in and gave us lots of information. Loved the Basel pass to get free trams and 1/2 price to many attractions. Room 340 was nice had a bath tub, the glass tiles on the bathroom ceiling was strange but just go with it. Room was big enough bed was comfortable , pillows too soft but they had a pillow menu so we quickly change. minibar came with the room but the drinks are all organic and tasted terrible lol. Not my kind of minibar. Breakfast room is beautiful and breakfast is organic as well however would have like already sliced bread as i dont cut bread very well lol. Still had plenty of choices for everyone. We stayed 2 nights and left our bags while we went down to lucerne for a night and then came back and checked back in for another night and holding all our bags no issue even put them up in our room for when we return. Nothing was a issue. Well done to everyone at Gaia Hotel. Only negative would be the trams can be a bit noisy.
