Hotel staff is really nice. Room service and bar was really nice too. Parking is a pain. But thats just because its downtown Berkeley. Room is a bit small but tons of amenities. Kurag coffee. Mini fridge. Wonderful shower. Complimentary wine. Would stay again.

This was my second time staying here. I love it. Beautiful, clean and very friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to the bellmen and everyone in between. Great location in Downtown Berkeley with restaurants in walking distance, close to Cal, and public transportation steps away. Highly recommend Hotel Shattuck Plaza!

Went there for my daughter graduation and because of the graduation theme and display that would welcome the graduates. They made a huge mistake omiting the signature of “mom and dad” and signing it with my name and last name and asked to found a way to at least erase my name trying to fix the error. tthe behavior of the supervisor present on the floor, a woman, was unacceptable, “it is what it is” while walking away, is not the phrase i would have imagined to hear from your staff. The night of my arrival , and again in the morning, i asked and literally begged , 4 different floor personal, explaining to each and everyone the problem, and they all just didn’t care. I even try to contact the manager but my call went to voicemail, Of course she didn’t even bother to call back. Sadly the damage is done, my daughter saw the display and my wife at home saw it too, since my daughter and her cousin in disbelief sent it to her. As a result of your “error” and the unwillingness to fix it, your establishment has caused a huge problem, brought discussions into my household and ruined what was supposed to be a joyfully event. The moment is gone , the graduation too, and there is no use to fix it now nor to apologize. You and your staff need to pay much more attention to the details and the way you treat your clients, for you it might have
