Not going to lie, i was a bit apprehensive about my visit to the guesthouse because of all the "rules" on the website however when i arrived i found the owners to be friendly and accommodating. The property is on the edge of Fenway and Back Bay so ideal for walking or using the public transport network. It was a long time since i had stayed in a room with shared facilities but it worked fine, there was no congestion and everyone left the bathroom as they found it. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh fruit, bread bagels and eggs. There was even cake. The bed was comfortable and the room although compact had everything that i needed. The terrace outside was nice to sit out and eat on, in the warm weather. Because the house is old, the stairs are narrow and steep, with a few with a bit of a slope but this is well advertised and if you take your time they are fine. I would say, dont be put off by the rules, as it doesnt reflect the atmosphere and welcome you actually get when you stay at the Oasis guesthouse
