Absolutely amazing property. Its gorgeous. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the bathrooms need to be updated. They’re clean, just older facilities. Otherwise this hotel is a must see. The rooms are big, beds are super comfortable. Its such a treat to be able to walk out and see the pyramids, and have a meal with the pyramids as your view. Would definitely stay again!

High Price Tag with Pathetic etiquettes

The views of the Pyramids from Marriott Mena House are truly stunning — worth the premium in theory. However, the service was a major letdown. Throughout our stay, we were repeatedly asked if we were actual guests, making us feel out of place and unwelcome. At The Pavilion restaurant, a staff member made an offensive, racially charged comment when I simply asked about dining options. Despite tipping generously and being respectful, we noticed significantly better treatment given to lighter-skinned guests. I raised these concerns with the duty manager at checkout, and all I received was a flat “I’m sorry.” No follow-up, no accountability. For a hotel of this caliber, this experience was unacceptable. The views are great — but not worth the discrimination or lack of proper service.

Marriott Mena House is an exceptional hotel. Located in the area of the Giza pyramids made our stay better than what we imagined. Dining options were plenty and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We will stay again when visiting Egypt.

The Mena house is an iconic place. Unfortunately the old historical section has been closed for years, and no clear indication as to when it will open the rooms in the hotel need upgrading of both furniture and amenities specially bathrooms. The staff are friendly and helpful.
