Lovely and interesting hotel, with plenty of period pieces in the decoration. Room was quiet and nice. Only two things affected my stay negatively. One was the limited heating in the room. The outside temperature was about 12C and it felt the same in the room probably due to a lack of thermal insulation. The tiny wall heater seemed to me competing against the central AC and wasn't effective. I would not want to be there on a really cold night. The other problem was to do with the drink service. We met in the bar at around 4:30 pm only to be refused service because of the limited liquor licence. Similarly when we returned from our evening function, we were again refused service. The hotel should be able to serve drinks to its guests.
Stayed in town to do a course study over the weekend. I liked the vibe of the hotel, very chic and hip. Was great to just sit at the bar, with my notes and have a drink with dinner, and the hotel restaurant was very relaxing. As a seasoned traveler, I will say the portions/quality for the price of the food - were not the best. I enjoyed the evening, either way in the atmosphere. My room was very nice. Comfy bed, didn't have to beg for pillows - or extra linens, plenty of them! Lovely closet space for keeping my outfits fresh for classes. Shower had great water pressure, and space. but - the drain and floor vent - smelled absolutely foul. And the floor was not clean. I had to keep the door shut both nights. Otherwise, it was quite cozy. Perfect place to come back after a long day, chill out and study. I'd stay here again. With a note to the cleaning staff, that the baths need an orange zest for the floor drains. Nice vibes and quiet for the solo trip.
Lots of noise from restaurant as room overlooked the internal courtyard. Not a massive issue but was distracting. Room was quirky and inviting, bed was very comfy and bottomless hot water was wonderful. Would have like opportunity to have breakfast in the restaurant. As a solo traveller, this would haven been nice.

It was a cool quirky place. Didn’t see any ghosts though - maybe next time 😀
The Convent Hotel was wonderful! It was quirky and interesting and everything was in fantastic working order and very comfortable. We will stay here everytime we come to Auckland in the future.
The exterior and interior decor of this hotel was lovely, very thoughtful, bed was comfy. Better lighting for putting on makeup could
Be considered as it was difficult and we were heading to an event.
Had a wonderful weekend stay at The Convent. Beautiful historic building, renovated tastefully, comfortable and cosy. There's a restaurant in the building if you prefer to stay in. Friendly, helpful staff. Roadworks outside were a minor inconvenience, but this is just temporary. My new favourite place to stay in Auckland.

Liked: Cleanliness
Lovely property, however room 3 which was down stairs and close to some sort of staff utility room was a bit noisy and a very dark side of the hotel.
So sun what so ever. West side would have been preferable
Very cool property with friendly staff and an excellent and atmospheric bar/restaurant. Walking distance to other restaurants as well. Loved hearing how the building was saved from the wrecking ball by the current owners. We stayed in the handicapped accessible room which had a shower that was open to the bathroom, so a big soggy but otherwise comfortable!
Great option for this location. A bit out of the downtown core, but I was not going into downtown. Short walk to Eden Park and highway access. Very interesting building given it was a convent in a previous life. Staff were very nice, polite, and helpful. I had a great stay there.
Absolutely amazing hotel with wonderful staff. The room we stayed in was gorgeous with plenty of amenities to keep us feeling like we’ve been looked after. The hotel itself is so lovely and clearly a lot of love and attention was given to restoring this old convent. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Auckland.
Unique boutique hotel. Very easy to find. Super helpful and friendly staff who got us checked in early. Lovely attached restaurant.
If parking there, slim entry to parking lot - be mindful of mirrors
