I booked in at the Holiday Inn based on my need for an economical, convenient location close to the airport. My room was clean, nicely organized, and the staff were quite courteous. The gym was basic, but functional and breakfast was good. I’d recommend it for someone who needs to keep costs down yet receive an above average stay

The first room we got when we checked in the fun or heat wasn't working. So we were moved to a different room. It was great. The only downside was breakfast weren't included. We had to pay $15.99 per person to have breakfast

Overall, it is great, good location. When I check in and walk into the room, I spot that the bedsheet has a funny yellow colour. I’m very picky. I asked the room service lady to change for me, and they changed right away. When I check in and out, the front desk ladies don’t smile much. Maybe just me, I work in the service industry too. A smile makes a service industry go a long way in return.

When transferring from the hotel shuttle to the lobby, a small travel bag was misplaced. The bag is now in the lost and found at the hotel, but we did not miss the bag until we arrived back home, 2000 miles away. When we called about the bag, the person answering the phone did not offer many options on getting the bag shipped back to us.

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. We never tried the food there.However, the pool area was well maintained and clean and overall, this was one of the cleaner hotels we've been to. Except for having to ask for towels two nights in a row.Because there was four of us, and they kept giving us two, everything else was fantastic. We would stay here again

The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of Calgary. Our room was surprisingly quiet. We booked a room with a separate bedroom with a door as we were travelling with a little one so it was nice to not go to bed at 7 pm as we weren't sitting in a room with a toddler! We really appreciated the room set up. The housekeeping staff was great and we enjoyed the pool. My only negative I would point out is that the front desk staff, who you think would be welcoming and friendly were not. They weren't rude, but if you entered the hotel or left, we never once had anyone look up or make eye contact or say hello or smile or anything and we were there for four days and we literally had to walk right in front of the front desk. This seemed very unusual to me compared to any other hotel experience I have had. When interacting with this staff upon check in and check out, they were polite, but that was it. We didn't expect fireworks when we entered the building in welcome, but odd not to look up and smile at a guest when they entered or left the building. That is a note more for management then anything, other than that the hotel met our needs.
