Checkin was friendly and efficient. The appropriate VIP upgrades were offered without me needing to ask. The booking of the airport shuttle was simple enough and was on time the next morning. The included VIP breakfast was from a set menu. It was very good and was served quickly. We’ve stayed here several times over the years and the hotel is showing its age. The hallways, elevators and rooms are tired and need refreshing. There are many newer options near the airport in the same price point that we will be considering next time.

So this was the interesting part of the evening. I located this hotel by accident, thinking it was the hotel near deerfoot. Arrived late and nobody was around for check in. Once checked in, got back to the room and could hear something from the roof area. I walked upon the staircase to the whirl pool area which was supposed to be closed at 10. The door was locked but could observe what looked like men with tail ponys from the door with full beards. I went to enjoy the whirl pools the subsequent day, but the area was littered with towels in and out of the pool. Beer bottles and wine bottles were located throughout.
