Bathroom was outdated and tiles needed a steam clean particularly the floor. Sauna was broken in the spa and the changing rooms in the spa were really very tatty. Overall not what I would have expected from a 5 star hotel, spa was worse I’ve been to in a hotel. The hotel did not have a bed ready for my son despite booking for 3 in the suite and we waited x5 hrs for a dog bowl to arrive despite emailing the hotel the day before to remind them we were bringing dogs. Room service was disappointing, frozen pizza for my son not really edible. Such a shame as the staff were really trying. I’ve stayed in the other IHG in Cardiff which is in much better condition. You pay for the view with the Voco which is brilliant, but not worth the price. Positives the living room in the suite is spacious, superb views and lovely sofa, Christmas tree in the room lovely touch, staff on front desk very dog friendly and kind. Just not worth what we paid.

We had a fantastic stay at St David’s Hotel. The hotel itself was great and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really made the experience special. My husband celebrated his birthday while we were there, and it was absolutely fab — we felt very well looked after. The room was spotless and the only small downside was that the shower pressure could have been a bit stronger, but this didn’t take away from what was otherwise a fabulous stay. We’d happily go back and would recommend the hotel to others.

Fabulous stay, great staff, great room, great view, great food! My only niggles are 1 lift was out of order so lift wait was long at times, wait to be seated in dining was long as no-one was ever at the door to seat us and children only have limited pool times which was disappointing. I can understand small kids who may be noisy etc but kids over 12 should have a bit more flexibility. Other than that, we will definitely be back!

The hotel looks very nice. Lovely rooms, comfortable pillows and bed. Everything is perfectly clean and well maintained. Staff are so accommodating. Spa is very big and luxurious. Sauna might be the best I have been in. I can’t fault it and I would come back for sure.
