Food options were poor, not great tasting. Long wait times. We would take 2 hours just the whole process, sitting down ordering food and eating. Too long in my opinion. Pool was deep the whole way. No kid friendly. I would opt out to be an adult only hotel. Some waiters seems to have bad facial expressions and not friendly. Overall would not come back to this hotel again

There is a reason why the total package had a discount. Hotel is at best 3 stars. Upon check in room was not available, this is at 3:45pm. They sent us to the restaurant which was a big mistake. Food was terrible at $85+. Around 4:30pm we got the key and asked to go back to check in. One key only for 3 of us and they stated multiple times it will be $10 if you lose it (its a plastic badge key). Certainly no VIP benefit whatsoever. The room is good size with overwhelming muggy smell. No matter how low you set the AC everything inside is wet. None of our clothes would dry no matter where we hanged it. There is no fridge in the room. We had to ask for towels constantly. On two days we had to ask for room to be cleaned after we came back from the beach around 4pm and this is after leaving the green light at the door. Do not get any food options here, its not worth a penny. Luckily we only had breakfast upgrade and after 2 days gave up on that as well. If you are a coffee drinker, good luck. We have been coming to Mexico for well over 20 years, mostly all inclusive which we will no longer do. With this trip we learned that staying on the island for 7 days there are way better options. Each day we ate somewhere else 2-3 meals and other than 1 restaurant all were incredible. We will not return to this hotel but will definitely come back to Isla.

Izla Beachfront Hotel was perfect! Great location, super comfy beds, and delicious food—especially the ceviche and fresh breakfast. The beach and pool were peaceful, and the staff were absolutely outstanding—friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome!

Pool and beach access was great. The hotel probably doesn’t mist for mosquitoes, they weren’t terrible and we had packed appropriately. 1/2 mile walk to nearest cafe outside the hotel, worth the walk which was pleasant. Not much to see/do close to the hotel.

Very nice hotel. We enjoyed the adult pool as well as the family pool. We couldn’t thoroughly enjoy the private beach because there was a lot of seaweed. We loved our full ocean view room although they had to replace the tv because it was not working properly and there was no refrigerator even though there was a space clearly meant for it. We asked the reception desk for a refrigerator and they said they would look into it. We never heard back from them. They also offered a currency exchange service however I attempted to exchange currency 3 days consecutively and every time they said they were unable to do so. We stayed for one week and overall it was a very pleasant experience. It was worth having the all inclusive amenity. The food was good and the pool/restaurant staff were wonderful!

Lovely, quiet place. If you’re looking for a spot with lots of amenities this is not for you. It’s a quaint hotel with a small beach area and only a few dining options. Pool area is beautiful but there’s only one for families with kids. Be prepared to venture off to the rest of the island to fill your days. Overall a nice place to stay while vacationing on the island.

it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a room that had a strong chemical smell. It was so unpleasant that we demanded to be moved. Initially, the staff claimed there were no available rooms, but miraculously, one opened up last minute when I mentioned I would be taking it up the ladder. The hotel only offers one complimentary bottle of water daily in your room and there is no bar fridge. While glasses of water are free, you are required to trek to the bar or restaurant to fill them up, which feels unnecessary. When it comes to dining, the options are quite limited. There’s no omelette station as I read about, and just one restaurant and a buffet with a very restricted selection. Most meals were heavy on carbohydrates, and there wasn’t much variety. The bar food options were unimpressive, featuring only burgers, hot dogs, and nachos, which is hardly suitable for a proper meal. I was particularly disappointed to find there was no sausage or bacon served any of our 7 breakfast. The amenities were also underwhelming. The sky lounge pool was shallow and uncomfortable, making it uninviting for a relaxing day. To make matters worse, the hotel bars and lounge close at 10 PM, leaving you with little to do unless you’re willing to venture into downtown. The common areas were sparse, with just two tables at the bar for groups to gather the pool time grout was missing making it uncomfortable to walk in. Also front desk never had change.

There seemed to be too little staff for the amount of people there. There was only one bartender serving the whole pool. Sometimes you could order food at the bar and sometimes you could not. The buffet in the Izla Café was always the same, it never changed. One time we went to the Numa restaurant and we sat there for about 40+ minutes before having to ask someone if they could please serve us some water. We waited longer than that to get our order taken and we waited about an hour for our food. We sat at 8:50 and we left close to 11p.m. That same night there were 2 other families there in the restaurant with us and at some point one of the families complained about waiting so long to be served not only at Numa but all throughout the hotel. I still dont understand how this is rated at almost 5 stars. My family and I ended up wanting to be anywhere else except the hotel. We paid for an inclusive hotel to be able to relax there. The beach side isn't great, as it is full of sea grass, there is only one little place where you can be, everything else has sea grass. Our trip was amazing but the hotel stay was really awful! K
