We loved our stay at the RIU!! All the employees were so kind and welcoming and hard working. They always had a smile on their face even when other customers were disrespectful. We were so welcomed and taken care of we will always recommend to others. The only downside of the trip was that patrons (not at the fault of the hotel or employees) would “reserve” pool chairs by leaving a towel on them all day just to not come back for them, rendering them useless to other people actively searching for chairs. This was our only grievance and the pool rules does ask that you don’t do that, so my only suggestion would be to maybe enforce it more, though I do understand it is difficult to differentiate between those leaving for a few minutes vs those who come early in the day to reserve seats. Other than that, the property was immaculate, our rooms were cleaned so thoroughly and quickly by the staff, and the food was great for all inclusive!! We were so happy and treated so kindly we will always recommend!

Although this hotel is a bit of a drive from the downtown area, I was happy to be away from that area with young kids. The resort is beautiful, we visited during a busy vacation week and could still find chairs at the beach and pools with plenty of shade. Water slides were so much fun for kids and adults as well and the splash pad was perfect for younger kids. The food was excellent for an all inclusive. The water is so clear, so blue, no seaweed here. The staff was amazing from housekeeping to servers, kids club, even the photographer staff. This place was the nicest family friendly all inclusive we have been to, and we have been to quite a few. Highly recommend if you are looking to relax and enjoy the sun, beach and pool and feel safe. It is about 40 minutes from the airport and about 1/2 hr to downtown Cancun area. Also, for those not traveling with kids, the 2 swim up adult only bar areas looked pretty nice. There was always some type of entertainment going on around the pools.

I have visited the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres four times now and have had an excellent experience every time. Very clean, beautiful landscaping, good food and best of all is the excellent, friendly service by all of staff The beach is wonderful, the pools are large with comfortable chaise loungers, and weather has always been perfect Highly recommended

the staff were wonderful and very helpful. the location was very accessible and nothing felt like it was too far. we ate at every restaurant except Krystal and the food was delicious. the buffets were plenty but everything i ate was absolutely wonderful. we will definitely come back.

Muy entretenido, actividades todas las noches, bar muy entretenido con productos ricos, playa maravillosas. Tiendas con productos de muy buena calidad. Los restaurantes fueron excelentes, no requerían reserva ni hay un máximo de visitas. Recomendamos el restaurante japonés. El buffett de desayuno, excelente, frutas, crepes, jugos naturales … no así el de almuerzo, que tenía poca comida saludable. Aparte de esto último, fue excelente, y volveríamos.

Came on vacation with my family, and overall our stay was okay. We had the room Junior suit garden view and my God it was impossible to get any sleep. It is located right under the buffet and all night & all day you hear chairs moving around it was so obnoxious, my grandma could never sleep. It is located right in front of the adults only pool so if you get this room RUN! The restaurants are okay, I honestly think the buffet food was way better. We had many issues with the staff throughout our stay, telling us we would be removed from restaurants since we were being loud. We had 7 people in our party so yes there is many of us talking. After we basically got kicked out we tried dining again in the same restaurant and immediately before entering the security guard told us “there is no more seating areas for you sorry” and it was only 7 pm. We already knew why they did not want to seat us but they were incredibly rude. The restaurants do not take reservations and say that everyone will get seated but there may be a wait time of an hour. The entertainment is nice, they did have many shows during our stay. Overall we had a good time being in family but I would not come back to this resort for many reasons, they were not accommodating or understanding.
