Oh my word what a gem we have found, this hotel blew our socks off,even thing about it was just perfect, from the opulence of the colours and materials of the furnishings to the reminders of what the hotel was as used as through the years. The cleanliness of everything was outstanding, we cannot wait to return everyone was so friendly and helpful.
We stayed at this hotel recently and couldn't really fault it. The rooms are clean, modern and stocked with essentials such as tea, coffee, water and biscuits. The beds were super comfortable and the hotel itself is lovely.
The only downside is that the spa closes to guests at 10:00, after which point I am guessing you must make a paid booking. This was rather disappointing as I had hoped to utilise the spa after breakfast but was unable to do so before going home. Still a lovely place nevertheless, and for what it is worth, the spa looked lovely!
Lovely hotel. Huge rooms many with multiple floors. More like suites! Each room different. Many traditional features kept. Great chef. Sunday dinner excellent. Friendly attentive staff.
Our stay felt luxurious and relaxing. Room was very comfortable and quiet. We also had the opportunity to use the pool which was lovely. Breakfast was delicious. It's a bit harder getting here with public transportation. We walked from Pontyclun station which was okay but others may want to make sure they pre-arrange transportation if needed.
