Room needs a deep cleaning. Skylight and fireplace surround full of cobwebs. Trims and molding filthy. Serious access issues to bathroom with door on backwards or something. Great location but not clean enough.

The room was neat and clean and the fireplace was a nice touch as the evenings were chilly. The only disappointment was that they advertise free breakfast but really it’s a grab and go brown bag with a granola bar, juice, and packaged muffin. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the Junior Cottage for less than $200/night. It was super cute, cozy and I wish we could have stayed longer. The reviews on Expedia and Google made us question committing to this place, so we viewed the cottage before we booked it. It was just fine, as advertised. The bathroom is a little dated and not great lighting but it was clean and functioned well. The fireplace was cute but it was too warm for us to use. No AC because that’s not a thing in Cali!! Great walk to the beach, less than 5 min walk.

We have stayed at the Lodge and Suites several times and have never been disappointed. We enjoy walking to the beach and even ventured as far as cannery row. You can always take a short drive to downtown Pacific Grove where there are plenty of dining options and an excellent small coffee/bookstore.

The rooms were so poorly maintained, I was shocked! Holes in the walls, grease marks on walls. Scruffs and scratches on every wall. Leaking sinks, broken doors. At check out there was no one at the front desk which seemed intentional, in order to avoid complaints. Other guest was writing a letter to staff about the poor condition of the rooms since there was no one at the front desk for check out, just a basket and sign for the room keys. Expedia rating is inaccurate, didn’t find that out till after my stay, accurate reviews on yelp
