Property and main lobby is beautiful. Rooms are very outdated and not well maintained. The hallways are labyrinths and small. The elevators are tiny, far and few. The pool and spa are in a seperate building across the parking lot and there is nothing relaxing about that building. The water was filthy but warm. The first room we were put in had a leaking room and wer carpet. The room wasnt fully cleaned with hair in the tubs and on the floor. The staff wasnt very helpful with directions to amenities but they all had a smile. Just seemed like they cut corners updating the property. Its more used for golfing and weddings then an actual hotel. Its what i imagined a hotel 8 would be next to a golf course.

Being a resort and spa, i just expected more. The lobby was beautiful and everything outside of the rooms was seemingly well kept. The room was mediocre. Surface clean but not deep clean. The outside of the buildings were very dated. Pool was not the best kept. Very cloudy and debri in hot tub and pool.

This hotel had a very friendly staff! Almost everyone I met was beyond nice. Everyone but the woman that checked me in. When I she explained where my room was I asked her if there was a place I could park that was closer so I did not have to drag my luggage that far. She huffed no, well there is but there is stairs. Once I got my stuff you to my room, I found a much closer exit/entrance that did not make me trudge through the lobby and banquet area. That is how I got in and out for the rest of my stay. The distance to my room made me feel like I was at a vegas resort not a golf course hotel in illinois. When I was booking I chose the room with the "deep soaking tub." I would like to warn anyone else thinking about booking this room that there is nothing deep about this tub. It is a standard, short hotel tub and shower. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. However, I was hoping my stay would be saved because there was a pool/fitness center. Also not make clear in the description, the hotel pool/fitness center has very short hours and is located all the way across the parking lot in a different building. Overall the staff was amazing but the amenities were a let down, along with the narrow hallways, small elevators and no luggage carts. I loved the balcony but do not see myself staying here ever again.
