The best part about the hotel is the central location. It definitely gives a weird feeling. I’m from NY and during Covid a lot of the hotels were used as shelters. There were a few characters in the lobby after hours who gave the same vibe. None of the furniture matched and was rather used and wearing in every aspect. Our walls were scuffed up and bedding was basic. It didn’t give Hyatt experience.

The hotel was amazing but the people upstairs had a huge disturbance that lasted from 10:30pm to 4am. Very loud doors slamming people yelling it was bad.

Very clean, super nice front desk, room service was offered but I declined but they do come and clean a few times a day. Beds aren’t that comfortable for the price but they’re not bad either.

Right in the middle of the city, the lobby serves as an active reminder of the place we are in, but as soon as the elevator doors close, we transported into a quiet oasis to work, rest, and recover.

Booked online and no info about age limitations. My 20 yo kids were lht out on the street at midnight as they werent allowed to check in even though I was on the phone, offered to guarantee with waivers, credit cards, etc. The front desk person tried really hard to help and 2 supervisors she called refused to help. So disconcerting for a parent with kids traveling in an unknown city. Shame on you Hyatt.

The good news I arrived on my check-in day at 11:30AM and was told that my room was ready. Perfect, ready to check-in and was told there was a $25 fee to check-in before 12PM. Needless to say I told them to check my bags and I would be back after 12. This is downtown Chicago, not Vegas. This is a frivolous and petty charge for this hotel....will not be back.
