Great Stay, but rude neighbor for 1 night of 5

The overall stay was very nice and the staff was great. Our first day/night of the stay was a little bumpy due to our next door neighbor guest. I had to call the front desk two times due to loud and foul yelling and then for cigarette smoke. We had an adjoining doorway, so the noise and smell came right through. They sent security two times and finally asked the guest to leave, who had been there a month we found out. Learned the room was in horrible condition. Note to RS, if you have a guest staying longer than a week and they do not let housekeeping in - you have a problem. Every hotel should check a guest room if they are there a week or more and no one has had access to the room,

This hotel is very well-situated, immaculately clean and comfortable. The staff is welcoming, efficient and professional—special shout out to Juan and the rest of the breakfast staff at Hoyt’s. The only things I did not like about the hotel were the lack of room service, the rain shower-type shower head (which makes it challenging to take a shower when you don’t want to wash your hair) and certain of the characteristics of the breakfast choices (a la carte breakfast is served at Hoyt’s, portions are large and there are a lot of choices, but the items are pricy and I found that I wanted to modify many of the dishes by eliminating various elements—I would recommend to Hoyt’s that it expand its side dish menu to include a few more smaller-portioned and plainer items like single eggs, fruit cup, etc.), but these things did not affect my experience to any significant degrees overall, it was a great stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again when next I am in Chicago.

Upon checking in your front desk was very unfriendly and did not explain the fees at check in they I was charged. My room was next to the elevator and the worse view and my room had a horrible smell of cigarette smoke. The bar was great and excellent services Checking out once again so not any royal service. Never offered to print my bill or ask how my stay was. Saturday night was a young gentleman and a new trainer who were great. Explain my charges , printed my bill and apologized for how we were treated. I hope your front desk learns for him. Chicago has many wonderful hotels my family booked 3 rooms for a graduation and we all felt the same way about this property . I ordered flowers to the hotel with my daughter’s name she was a guest and they never were delivered to her room. Do better ! This was a big special moment .

It was my first time in Chicago and it was great. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. My room had the best view ever. The room was very clean and comfy. The check-in and checkout process was so fast.
