The place is dated. Apparently host motorcycle gangs. Our room had no window. A beam in the room in walkway was as low as my nose. No pool steps to get in and out of the pool unless you have pool access...but then you need to stay in a freight container. Towels and bed linens fresh! Shower nice. Breakfast at the absolute minimum. Good parking.

Quirky hotel

Quirky hotel for couple of nights. Nice pool area . Good breakfast where u can help your self to coffee during the day. In quiet area of city. Staff friendly.

Nice stop on the way to Koh Tao

Two night stay before going on to Koh Tao. Room was clean and had everything I needed. I particularly liked that the room was dark and the bed very comfortable so I slept well. Very convenient pick-up to Koh Tao ferry. I walked from the train station, about 12 minutes. Night market and shopping mall nearby. Staff friendly and helpful. Check first if you plan on using the pool, when I was there, it was closed for covid. I enjoyed my day in Koh Tao.

This was a fun Hotel. Swimming pool was great, and so was the staff. The area is nice too, very close to the rail station and there's a good sushi place nearby (Dosos, I think). Would mind staying there again, but would opt for a room with the balcony.

Small but comfortable

This budget with container-style hotel is located in night market area, where you can access to most places you need: 7-11, local restaurants, and train station. The hotel also provides snorkeling tour and airport shuttle van with reasonable price. Staffs are nice, too. Really recommend to stay!

Relaxing...........

The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The staff was very accommodating, I had hand washed some clothes and needed somewhere to hang them, they graciously offered me some space in their laundry area, in the back. The pool was relaxing and inviting, it was nice to be able to lounge in the pool and have a couple of beers with friends.

Cool hotel with great staff

Stayed one night before catching the ferry. Staff very helpful! Confirmed our ferry reservation, coordinated the early morning pick up and ensured breakfast would be ready early for us (all without being asked). Room is small but all we needed and well designed. Loved the design concept. Easy walking to good street food and local restaurants.

Modern hotel in a charming town

I came through Chumphon on my way to Koh Samui. This little city has a great community feel and very welcoming. I love the Retro Box Hotel. It's industrial modern vibe is totally My style. The staff are extremely Friendly and so helpful. I was able to walk where I wanted to go, and the Song Tao to the beach is just about 30 baht. Definitely recommended !
