Worst hotel to stay at

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We walked in the room has a nasty smell to it, a lamp is broke, tv is broken as well, and the lamp next to the bed looks like throw up on the shade. Not cleanliness at all. The guy who checked us in didn’t tell us what room we are when breakfast was nor where the elevator was we had to ask everything. Overall if we didn’t pay in advance and it wasn’t 1am we would have found a different hotel to stay at.

They are currently renovating. Our room wasn’t perfectly clean… but the sink in the bathroom was painted with what looked like wall paint in a hurry. That felt odd. I didn’t mind the location, and I’m sure it’ll be better once they are done. Until then it was just average.

When I walked in I was overtaken by a strong bleach smell. The next morning that smell went from bleach to a rotten drain smell from either the shower or sink in the bathroom. The AC didn’t work. Even though it was 40 outside, the hallways were hot so the rooms were hot. The thermostat read 99 (broken). And in order to cool the room off the Ac Had to be unplugged then plugged back in every time it would cycle. The light flickered constantly when it was turned on. Added to that based on the position of the hotel Relative To the highway it was one of the noisiest rooms I’ve ever stayed in.

Very Pleasant Front Desk Staff!!!

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. They are in the midst of renovations so understanding of the "unpolished" look inside in certain areas. Will stay at this chain again, first time staying at Fairfield.

First room they gave me had a dead TV. Second room they gave me had a cockroach in the bathroom. I killed it right away. The bed and the sheets were average, the shower and the bathroom were excellent.
