Hotel Review: A Disheartening Experience
We booked this hotel through Expedia for a two-hour trip to Scottish Rite Hospital for our son, hoping for a hassle-free stay. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.
Upon arrival, the hotel did not match the photos online. We were greeted by individuals asking for help outside, and the inside was unclean, with visible mold and unpleasant odors. The check-in staff was dismissive, rolling her eyes during our interaction, which added to our discomfort.
The lobby restroom was in an unacceptable state, with hair on the floor and a dirty diaper left behind. When we made our way to our room, the elevator and hallway were filled with smoke, making it difficult to breathe. Our six-year-old expressed distress, and our infant began to cough.
We immediately returned to the front desk to request a refund, but the staff member laughed off our concerns and refused to contact a manager. Frustrated, we reached out to Expedia for assistance, only to find that the hotel claimed no manager was available to process our refund.
This experience was deeply unsettling, and I hope the management addresses these issues to prevent future guests from having a similar experience. A safe and clean environment is essential for families traveling with children.
