My wife and I have stayed at this property before and usually have great experiences. All in all, the property is not properly managed, specifically having some what I felt was vindictive action by the front desk. The bar staff was amazing. However, the staff for breakfast was not keeping up with coffee, food, and cleaning up. The adult hours in the pool were not being followed and the staff said that there was nothing they could do about it. The general manager indicated that he felt good about his staff as he hired and trained them. We will not be staying here again.
We had high hopes for this property, especially the pool and hot tub for the kids. When we got there, we were informed of a new rule that the hot tub couldn’t be used by anyone under 14. No information about WiFi or breakfast or other amenities were given at check-in. The room was … okay. The floor of the elevator was sticky which is gross when kids aren’t wearing shoes after the pool. The room itself had blood on a lampshade, (thankfully) unused tampon open in the trash, non working hairdryer or shampoo dispenser. Breakfast finished at 9:30 and granted we were slow getting there at 9:20, the hot food was all cleaned up. We stayed in a bunk room where the bunk mattresses made a weird squeaky noise anytime the kids moved. We won’t come back to this property.
I stayed at this hotel twice. This review is referencing the second stay. Upon arrival I was asked if
I wanted to stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor. I had booked a regular room, but was given a suite. It was a large, lovely room with a nice view of a small wooded area behind the hotel. They also gave me my drink chips that come with booking through Expedia. You can use them at the bar, or if you don't drink you can use them on their pantry drinks. The pool area here is amazing. It's an indoor/outdoor pool that was open to the outside despite the cold weather. The hot tub was great as well. Their breakfast is delicious. A full, continental breakfast with lots of choices. We did have one pretty decent issue though. We noticed that one of the mattresses in the room was upside-down. We called down to the front desk to ask for assistance flipping it since the underside was very hard. The front desk didn't answer while trying a couple times, then when they did they left us on hold. Two men did come up to help eventually. Upon flipping it we noticed a large stain and asked what could be done about it. One of the men became very angry and spoke wildly inappropriate to us. I had to ask him why he was mad. That made him more upset and he stormed off. The other man explained their staffing issues and the long day and asked how to make it right. We got it figured out. Honestly, even after that I would still stay there again cause it's a lovely hotel overall.

I've stayed at this hotel twice. This review is based on my first stay. When I checked in they didn't offer the room upgrade or drink tokens. They also weren't aware that we were suppose to get a late check out so our room key stopped working at 11 am when we were trying to come back from the pool. All that aside, I really like the look and feel of this place. It reminds me of Colorado. The pool is amazing. It's an indoor/outdoor pool and even though it was cold outside it was still open to the outside. The hot tub was great too. A lovely set up. Their breakfast is great too. Lots to choose from. A true, continental breakfast. This stay was nice enough that I booked the place again for couple weekends later.
Everything was great, other than I stayed at the cottages and got locked out early in the morning in my nightgown. It was freezing and after calling the front desk, they informed me that I needed to come to them for a new key. I had to run around the property barefoot, in my pjs, in the cold. It didn’t need to be that embarrassing or uncomfortable for me.
The entire staff was friendly the entirety of my stay, which was multiple weeks, the pizza was fantastic and they even offered to let me go in for breakfast early since I had to be at work before breakfast hours. I will definitely be back if I work in the area again!
I felt very safe and comfortable in all areas I visited . The room was well furnished and bath well stocked. I would recommend it to the empty nesters, or small families traveling.
