The lifts are unbelievable slow. No crowds they work well. But through the day especially around check in time we waited 20 minutes for a lift. We weren't the only ones upset. There lifts are different from the normal ones that all motels have. Its a scan card and it chooses a lift for you so if there's a crowd wanting if front you miss out and the process continues on when you scan again and new lift is chosen and another crowd is in front of that lift

The apartment was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very responsive and polite. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

The room was clean. There were signs of wear and tear here and there, but the location and view was great. For a 5 night stay, we wanted a comfortable place to stay, and meriton fit that bill perfectly. Given our 5 night stay, would’ve been great if they could’ve included 1 day of housekeeping in the same, but the same was declined, and only a normal turndown service was offered.

Main reason for staying was a for a 2 night after a cruise do some laundry before flight to next destination. Washer kept pausing and not restarting called re this an no one came to look at it as requested. Bedroom had view of a brick wall and the window opened on the side where curtains didn't, so no fresh air. AirCon was on wall across from bed. So cold air was on face. No instructions for Air Con Several restaurants in the area so kitchen smells wafted in the apartment. Also No instructions for dish washer. Couch had some stains and was very soft. Bed was comfy, pillows were not. We left a day early and stayed closer to the airport because I could not sleep in the bedroom again. Perhaps given less desirable room because we used a 3rd party booking site.

We’ve stayed at Meriton in other cities and always had great experiences, but this was our first time in Sydney — and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. We stayed for a late anniversary and arrived late in the evening. Check-in was easy, and we appreciated the lovely handwritten note and bottle of wine left in our room. However, things went downhill from there. We quickly noticed several hairs in the shower and bathroom, which was quite unpleasant. In the bedroom, there were also hairs on the pillows and stains on the bed. When we reported this, the staff member at reception seemed indifferent and offered us another room on a lower level for the night, with a move back the next day once the first room was cleaned. To our dismay, the second room had similar issues — hairs on the floor and stained sheets. We went back again, and this time were offered an upgraded room, which was better. Still, the general cleanliness and maintenance of all rooms were far below what we expected for the price. The bathrooms looked neglected, the couches were stained, the iron stained a shirt, and both the dishwasher and washing machine smelled unpleasant and seemed unserviced. Overall, this stay left us quite disappointed and hesitant to book with Meriton again.
