We had a delightful time at the Shinola Hotel this past weekend! We brought our two dogs, and the staff kindly gave us a room right next to the pet relief terrace on the 4th floor. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaurant was delicious, our room was lovely, and the location is amazing. We will definitely be back!

There was a dog barking in a room close to ours for about two hours around 8:00 in the evening. I’m not sure if there is a specific section for people with dogs, but if that’s the case, those who are not checking in with a dog, should be made aware. I would have requested another room had I known.

Our only problem was with dining at San Morello twice. Dinner: staging of food was awkward with appetizers coming out after dinner arrived. Breakfast this morning took 50 minutes to receive basic breakfast with over half of items not delivered.

Clean and stylish property. Will, our check in host was professional and timely. Comfortable bed and well appointed room. Only negative was a loud repetitive 6 beeps all night from something outside about every 30 minutes. Take ear plugs.

The best hotel in Detroit! Greeted by Will who was wonderful and offered complementary champagne, yes please. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Staff excellent and lots of places to enjoy on site. Ate at San Morello, wonderful meal. Full bar in room and complimentary breakfast. Pricey but worth it, I’ll be back.
