An amazing hotel from start to finish. The staff cant be more friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and fresh looking with robes and slippers provided. A bottle of water is also provided on arrival alongside biscuits, teas and coffees. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Bath main town is a short walk away (15 / 20 mins) but be aware that there is a steep hill returning back to the hotel if walking that might be a challege for those less mobile. Would highly recommend a stay here.

I booked a stay at The Gainsborough Bath Spa as a Christmas present for my partner, who had never been to Bath before. Having stayed here previously, I was delighted when the team kindly accommodated us—it set the tone for what turned out to be a truly memorable experience. Every single member of staff went out of their way to be helpful, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality that made us feel completely at ease. One of the highlights was receiving all-time access to the pool. This was such a treat, especially as The Gainsborough is the only hotel in the UK to offer natural thermal baths. Being able to enjoy them whenever we wished added a magical touch to our stay and made the experience feel truly unique. Overall, The Gainsborough Bath Spa exceeded all expectations. Thoughtful touches, outstanding service, and the rare luxury of natural thermal waters made this Christmas gift unforgettable. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway in Bath.
