The location of this hotel was perfect! Right on the Royal Mile and convenient for walking to wonderful restaurants and shops. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and patient. The rooms were beautiful and had fantastic views, staff cleaned regularly and perfectly. This is my favorite hotel to stay in and I will be going back!

Good hotel but under significant construction.

Good location and good breakfast. However, hotel outside and lobby area are under construction. Elevators were busy and the key system was not working. Overall not the Hilton experience we were hoping for. They should mention the construction so guests can decide if they wish to book.

Under renovation but nice

This Hilton was great. Although nowhere near as pretty as the pictures since it's undergoing renovation but that's alright. Beds were super comfortable and the room was spacious.

Good location, that's about it.

Hotel was ok, service was hit and miss. Miss more often than hit to be fair. Water wasn't replaced in the rooms when it was turned over. Issue with payment for room service not being detected which resulted in me having to go down to the bar at 10pm to prove I'd paid. Long queue to get breakfast do to understaffing. Hotel is in a great location but if your looking for a traditional grand building this isn't it. You'll struggle find an original feature.

Short family break

Hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing and shopping. Very close to train station. Rooms clean and spacious. Breakfast good quality. Only downside, one lift was out of order and took a while to get one.

So much potential but needs adjustments

The beautiful hotel is in an excellent location. There is a lot of construction, which would have been nice to know before booking. It hindered the overall ambiance and view from our room. We had two rooms, both with two beds. The first room was large and beautiful, however, the room did not cook well. The second room (right next door) was smaller, had tears in both headboards, and smelled of mildew. In addition, the hair dryer was missing the motor cover and sucked in one of our guests hair, resulting in her having to cut the hair loose to remove it. The pillows and mattresses are sub par. The breakfast was a feast and very delicious.

This hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Incredibly inconvenient and not a gracious welcome to Edinburgh. AWFUL.
