Room was great, lovely and clean, quiet, bed soooo comfortable, shower powerful and hot. Great tea and coffee.hotel is also in a great location for exploring Reception staff incredibly polite….. of things that could be improved……. Better signage within hotel, it’s a big hotel, we were on the 6th floor and really struggled to find reception even tho we knew it was on the 3rd or 4th floor?! Kept going round in circles! There was no ITV on the TV for some reason (tiny point I know!), and a pack of biscuits with the tea and coffee would have been appreciated. As would a poached/fried egg at breakfast? The rest of the breakfast was amazing, lod sof choice :). The positives outweighed the negatives so would definately stay again but points that maybe could be mentioned just in case someone wants to make an experience even better.

The room was clean, quiet, and in a great location a few minutes walk from the Royal Mile. The room had some unique features like a 'pod' shaped bathroom with shower doors that split down the middle like saloon doors. There are no outlets on either side of the bed which mad charging devices difficult. My room was very cold and whenever i turned the thermostat up it would revert back to first, cool temp. There are 2 spare pullows but nonspare blankets in the room.

Location almost on the Royal Mile but not quite, instead is on a very busy bus-filled road that leads to lots of cheaper food & services away from the prices on High Street, feels like the living heart of the old town, rather than the touristy part. Rooms have very thin walls—I was surprised how clearly we could hear our neighbors. The bathroom is a cheap pre-fab that feels outdated—there is mold behind the toilet flush buttons. Sadly, our room lost all hot water 1 day & it didn’t come back till the next day! But the room is warm & dry & the window looked out onto the busy street below. The staff is all friendly & warm!

I know you get what you pay for. The breakfast was great, the location great, the staff great, but the room we had on the 8th floor was in dire need of renovation. The Lino floor panels were all peeling around the edges annd cracking and those bathroom cubicles do not get rid of the heat and moisture very well. The rooms have paper thin walls and everyone was banging doors all night long, shaking the walls. The carpets in the hall have seen much better days. Housekeeping was fine, the difference between bath towels and towels being a difference price point was nitpicky by the staff. The bed was very firm, too firm for my taste and after 6 nights it caused me some grief. But as I said, you get what you pay for. The rooms are warm and the water hot. I just think they could do some long overdue renovation. I stayed before about 5 years ago and the room I had then was immaculate. However as I said, staff were always helpful and it is worth the breakfast.

no wi fi as your system is not secure.if premiere inn can do it why cant you? coffe andteabags revolting.reception not knowledgeable...bit of a dump really and so glasd to get back home. very poor value for money .also poor location.will never use ibis again.
