If you like to step into the bathroom as you inter the room, this hotels for you. No privacy and very poor bathroom with entry hall berthing the bath ‘room’.. toilet and shower behind a glass door offering no privacy. Very noisy at night with local club noise and music making sleep impossible. Rooftop area locked- no access. Although location nice -you pay for it with noise and crowds

This was the most quirky, fun, and pretty hotel that I've ever stayed at. The rooms were great, the location was perfect and we honestly couldn't ask for much more than a softer bed.

Great spot

Great hotel in a great location. My room was ready about an hour before checkin. I had a castle view and it was very pretty. Also took advantage of the rooftop garden and restaurant the hotel had to offer. I would stay here again.

Great hotel in the perfect location! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was small but had everything you need! Great large shower. We easily walked to places to eat around the corner and had a great time in the beautiful bar on property. Walked to train station with luggage in under 10 minutes.

Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and efficient.Breakfast was excellent with a great choice. Only negative was lack of sleep due too the noise from the pub/night club that our room faced onto. Definitely avoid these rooms if possible or take some ear plugs!

Unbelievable Virgin Experience

This is my first experience with Virgin Hotels. I must say, it exceeded my expectation in every way. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a church suite room which was incredibly spacious, super comfortable and well appointed. I was particularly impressed with the eco friendly lighting and climate control experience. The unique branding and artwork is very apparent and appealing. I would highly recommend Virgin and this Edinburgh location was ideal.
