Amazing beds

Place was really great. Breakfast pretty good. The room was enormous, with hardwood flooring. Really, really quiet. The stone walls make it so soundproofed and the building is incredibly solid. The beds were amazingly comfortable with multiple pillow options we all slept through the night which is actually saying a lot. I don’t even do that at home. Woke up in the morning and everything cracked because I don’t think I barely even moved through the night, lol! Absolutely recommend!

Decent in terms of service and being a 3 or 4 star property but nothing really that pushes it past that benchmark. Some things may even push it to 3 stars or lower. Like dishonest photography of the place with clear photoshopping of some kind to make it look way more renovated and new but completely different in person. Towels switched out by request, no door service or bellperson, no hotbtub or pool (if it says either it just means a bathtub with jets), scratched up toilet paper, banged up walls and doors, etc

The hotel lobby is very clean, but we found candy bar wrappers in one of the beds. We also asked to have our room cleaned, and for towels. They did not bring the towels, and our room was not cleaned during the time we were there. We also were placed right beside the elevator, and the noise of the elevator as well as all the people using it was horrible. On top of this, the room’s cooling/heating fan was broken. It was loud enough to keep us awake. We asked for a new room, and things were a bit better. When we were entering the hotel, we were approached by a woman who was trying to scam the people entering and exiting. She claimed she was from Calgary, and she lost her wallet in West Edmonton Mall. She had no money, and wanted us to give her cash. We said no and walked away. The next afternoon she tried the same scam again, and we told her that she hit us up the day before. When we called her on it, she claimed that she had been driving all day and night around the hotel. We then reminded her that she told us she needed money for gas, and her tank was almost on empty. She then peeled out of the parking lot giving us the middle finger. Ahh…good times. We reported this to the staff, and they told us they would take care of this. Then today as we were checking out, the same woman drove towards us. When she realized who we are, she gave us the middle finger again. Will I stay here again? Nope.

This was our first stay in quite a few years, and we definitely enjoyed the experience. The staff was all SO FRIENDLY, which was refreshing! The breakfast included with your stay is definitely a step above most other continental breakfasts we generally experience as well! You can still smell some stale smoke in the elevators and other areas, but that is normal when you’ve got carpet etc. We also found it odd that they charge $25 for every hour you’d like to check in early, as we’ve never experienced that before, and it seemed a little much. All in all though, we would book this hotel again!
