We had a late night arrival with our family of 4. Upon arrival and checking in, our room was hot and musty smelling. We were moved to another room with air, but only had a King and pullout. Our boys of 19 (6’3”) and 17 (5’11”) had to share the full size pullout sofa. This was not ideal. There was no manager on duty to give us compensation either for the hot room or the replacement room with insufficient bedding. A cot was requested, but was not available.

Marriott has lost my trust completely. I was double charged for a single stay, and instead of fixing their mistake, both the hotel and corporate customer service passed the blame to Expedia—even though the duplicate charge came from Marriott’s own property. This has dragged on for weeks, tying up my money, and no one has taken responsibility. If this is how Marriott treats paying guests when there’s a clear billing error, I can’t imagine how they handle bigger issues. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and warning others to think twice before booking with them.

Disappointing stay, refund not received

Our experience at this hotel was disappointing. Upon arrival, we found the room’s air conditioning was broken and there was a strong, unpleasant odor. The room had no ventilation and was damp. We were moved to a higher-category room, but the air conditioning there was also not working. There were no other rooms available. The front desk, in the middle of the chaos, did their best to help and managed to provide us with a fan, which eased the problem a bit, but the night was still very uncomfortable. The hotel promised to fully refund our stay, but we have not received anything to this day.

In general, it was ok. But we had a very bad first night. We did a very late check in after a long flight and the room they gave us had a problem with the air conditioning system. Because of this, the room was humid and smelly. I immediately notified about this issue and asked for a room switch, but I was told it was not possible at the moment, that I had to wait until the next day. They sent us a fan, which was dirty and my wife had to clean it and we had to sleep with that. They offered me a refund for that first night but it’s already a week after we checked out and I haven’t received anything. It is worth to mention that the room they gave us the next day was not as big as the first one and it was noisy. We heard a constant noise that I guess was coming from the ice machine that was next to the room.

Appreciated that it was located at walking distance to fast food restaurants and convenient store. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good. We likely just got a room that was unoccupied for a bit and maybe AC was left off (which could explain the noticeable odor). This was not our first stay at a Fairfield hotel, so it wasn’t our first impression of the brand. We’d likely keep Fairfield as a second or third option when making hotel arrangements.

Our AC wasn't working properly and they had to bring in a fan to “help the air circulate”. The room was musty and smelled of sweat and our bathroom door didn't close properly. I've stayed at many other Fairfield Inns and this one was not up to par.
