Generally the hotel was just a partially renovated budget hotel. Diet and grime can be found anywhere if you just take a good look. Beware! If you are placed in an odd numbered room you are literally right above an a to e rail line. Starting around 4am trains a mile long roll by and blow their horns. What good is a hotel if you keep getting woken up by extremely loud trains. The manager had the nerve to say he would add some Marriott points to my account and comp the last night of my 5 night stay. He actually did neither of these things. He just lied. We left this hotel after 4 nights because we could not bear it any longer. Ironically another staff meme’s even said when they have to stay there due to snow they have the same issue with the trains. They should be at the top of their property description!

Room was clean, staff was great, bed was cozy. However if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you, it butts up to a train track that runs at random hours through the night.

Property was clean and staff was friendly . The train comes buy several times during the night and lays the horn on loud all throughout the night . I was not aware of this prior to booking . Our room was also on the second floor and we could hear the elevators going up and down all night . We were exhausted from restless sleep . So for that I wouldn’t stay here again . Not a good location for a hotel unless your a very sound sleeper

What I wasn’t aware of was the train that runs by the property so if your room is to the back, you will hear the trains all night. Such a shame because it’s a nice hotel and our room was really nice.

The only bad part about the stay were the trains (freight?) running from about 1230am onward, just about every hour, which would rumble and blow their horn, making it impossible to get a good nights sleep. Not sure if this is a nightly occurrence, since we were only there one night, but we wouldn't want to risk it again. It's a shame, because the hotel was nice, and the area around it was nice. Just the trains ruin any chance of sleep.

Sleepless in Pittsburgh

The room was nice, clean and cozy, but I wasn’t expecting all the trains beneath my window. That’s not the hotels fault, but it did detract from my stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights as moved in our college student. Nice facility. Comfortable beds. Great bathroom with separate sink and mirror. Enough room for 6 (2 doubles and a daybed/couch with trundle. Breakfast was good and typical. Most Gluten free options would be nice. Very busy and hot weekend but water was often empty. Check in was easy. Cars are in a gated lot. Most cars were packed with colllege items. Felt safe. Train noise was minimal and dint bother us but we are not fussy. We did notice it but it didn’t wake us or keep us up. A few minutes from Pitt. Nice quiet corporate area. Across from American Eagle head quarters. Walked to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Other options in a shopping area but limited. Some duck bowling and other taco options. Nice walk. Safe quiet area. Next to a park frequented by bikes and runners. Would stay again.
