Liked staying close to everything. Like the shuttle idea and how quickly they arrive. It was great having restaurants to choose from, even though I felt they were a bit pricey.
The staff at the Yavapai were exceptional in helping me when my husband had an medical emergency. We were there in the shoulder season of April, and they were 100 percent responsive when we needed help. Our time there was shortened, but we cannot wait to go back to see what we missed.
I enjoyed my stay here: the room was clean and spacious and close to the lobby and restaurants. I had some issues with getting the shower to work, but staff at the reception was very helpful and quickly explained to me how to operate it.
It does seem a little price for the standard offered, but you’re clearly paying for the location.
The room is spacious and exceptionally clean. We were able to park the car right in front of the room, which made loading and unloading luggage very convenient.
Cool place to stay in the Canyon! Lodge is in the trees with elk close by. Restaurant and bar in the main lodge close by. Easy driving distance to trails.
Excellent location right next to the Grand Canyon. Rooms are clean and area was surprisingly quiet. Lodge is inside the National Park within walking distance to the Grand Canyon South Rim .There is a small market and a cafeteria nearby. Not many dining options other than those.
Acceptable older "lodge, location is more centrally located to park than in the village. Went through 3 coffee makers before they provided one that worked but was at least given vouchers for the cafe
A friend and I stayed 2 nights here. The food and beer at the lodge was good, and so was the Starbucks inside the lobby! The shuttle is right out front and easy to use. Within walking distance to Mathers Point and Visitors Center.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
The staff was a bit abrupt at check in. The remote control was hardly working. Had to push the start button 20 times to get the tv to turn on. Cleaning staff was friendly and helpful.

Grand canyon tour
Location is within the park. Shuttle bus stop and market plaza are within walking distance. Room is reasonable for us with a family of 2 kids, clean but stanards are not up to the level considering the daily rent. A microwave or hot water kettle would be a good suggestion. There is a prototype coffee machine in the room though. The lodge restaurant common room has a drinking water source and microwave (5 min walking).
Property is old and in serious need of maintenance. Rooms are ok but hallways and stairs are shabby.
Check in was perfunctory at best with no information about the hotel or area offered.
I couldnt get the tv to work and the desk was to send someone up but said were busy and gave no timeframe so rather than sit in room waiting indefinitely we went to the tavern to watch the game.
I went back to desk later and a guy was more pleasant and explained how the transportation system worked and areas we may want to visit as we had no internet connection to check things out ourselves.
Overall for the high price of the room we expected far more.
